This is the page that is devoted to one of my current RS models, which is a Sapphire RS Cosworth 2WD. It's a 1988(F) model finished in that rare colour Diamond White!

I brought the Cossie in March 1997, having owned three previous RS cars (2xRS2000 MK2's and a RS1600i. It had average mileage on it but come with loads of history and a few mods, which included a 270BHP chip, 16" Valbrem 5 spoke alloys, lowered suspension, 90 spec front and rear lights, a quick shift gearstick and the door locks had been removed (excellent idea if you want to hang on to a Cossie).

Since then I have added further to the mods as you can see by the spec sheet below!

FORD SIERRA SAPPHIRE RS COSWORTH (2WD): 1988(F)

OWNER : Mark Cooke

ENGINE : Cosworth YBB DOHC 16 valve 1993cc fuel injected turbo charged, engine upgraded with 330 BHP chip, 803 injectors, 3 bar map sensor, Group A head gasket, K+N 57I cone air filter, anodised alloy vernier pulleys, Group A actuator and dump valve, Mongoose stainless exhaust with 3.5" tailpipe, Samco water and boost hoses, 4x4 intercooler, Spec-r header tank and swirl pot, stainless braided hoses with Goodridge alloy finishers, anodised coil cover.

BODY : Sierra Sapphire 4 door saloon with front airdam and rear spoiler, fitted 4x4 bonnet, 90 spec front and rear lights, clear oval side repeaters, door locks removed, gold Ford badges and personal "RS" number plate, wheel arches modified for 17" wheels.

TRANSMISSION : T5 5speed gearbox with modified quick shift, 2WD-rear axle with Limited Slip Diff.

SUSPENSION : Koni front and rear adjustable shocks with lowered springs all round, front twin bar alloy strut brace and polished alloy strut tops.

BRAKES : FRONT- 270mm Woodford Garage vented and grooved discs with with four pot calipers and Ferodo FR2000 pads, REAR- 250mm solid discs as standard, ABS fitted as standard.

WHEELS :17" Rondell 122 wheels with 215/40 X17 Goodyear F1 tyres.

INTERIOR : Recaro leather interior with rear head rests, electric windows (four), electric mirrors, central locking, heated front screen, electric sunroof, boost gauge set in carbon fibre surround, white dial kit, Momo gear knob, 4 spoke RS steering wheel, RS ECU cover and Cosworth mats.
